160 We are all deeply saddened by the devastation caused in the Great Tohoku Earthquake and the enormous difficulties now being experienced by the Japanese people and foreign nationals in these devastated areas even as we write.
As a part of the foreign community, Cathy and Pat, writers of the Pat's Blog and Cathy's blog and the extended foreign community, wish to express our empathy for those suffering and condolences to those who have passed away under these terrible circumstances.
The people of Japan, both Japanese and non-Japanese alike, are arising to do whatever they can. Takamatsu and Kagawa were not affected by the earthquake or tsunami so we, too, are doing all we can to help. The people of Japan deeply appreciate the enormous outpouring of support and encouragement from overseas. Thank you and keep Japan in your prayers.
Takamatsu is a city full of art.
It takes 50 minutes by ship to get to Naoshima, which is well-known for art.
